As an open system provider, the BMZ Group develops and produces high-quality complete systems for e-bikes, pedelecs and cargo bikes under its e-bike brand "BMZ Drive Systems". The battery technology is customized and standardized by BMZ.
E-bike motors development
The original development of the BMZ RS began back in 2016 and aimed to offer a complete solution consisting of display, battery and motor. With the start of series production in mid-2019 and the ramp-up to a large number of units per year, the correctness of the concept was confirmed.
Anyone who thinks that BMZ has developed the motor into a drive motor for e-bikes within a very short time is mistaken. Because at BMZ they have driven about 1,000,000 test kilometers for the development of their own, powerful electric motor for e-bikes. This corresponds to about 25 times one revolution around the earth.
