Determine the optimum frame size for your mountain bike
- Measure your stride length
To determine your frame size, first measure your stride length (length from the ground to the buttocks).
You will need a book and a folding rule. Clamp the book between your legs and pull it all the way up. Keep it as horizontal as possible. Now measure from the ground to the top edge of the book.
You should write down or memorize the measured value. - Calculate your frame size:
Enter your stride length here and click on Calculate:Is the result between sizes? Then choose the larger bike if you are touring-oriented and smooth-running. Choose the smaller bike if you are agile, sporty and maneuverable. Or book a test ride here and test it yourself.
Alternatively, you can also determine your frame size based on your height:
However, the result is less accurate.

Body size from 179 - 188 cm: size L
Body size from 189 - 200 cm: size XL
